2021-2022 SEASON
SENIOR SEND-OFF CONCERT
Nocturnal said our last goodbyes to our six graduating seniors. Each of them sang a solo of their choice for all of their friends and family.
OWLS GOT TALENT
Every year, Rice invites prospective students to visit the campus and meet current students and faculty. Nocturnal performs a short set for the students at a fun welcome event.
PANCAKES FOR PARKINSONS
Nocturnal was invited to perform at the Pancakes for Parkinsons fundraiser. We loved getting to meet with members of the Houston community who came out in support of the organization.
AFTER DARK
One of our favorite events of the year, Nocturnal takes over the Pub at Rice and sings some scandalous songs for our friends. We dress up wacky and get a little tipsy, so it is a wild ride for everyone.
ARCHI ARTS
Rice’s Architecture department hosts an event to celebrate visual and performance art groups on campus. Nocturnal loves getting to perform in such a unique venue for an audience filled with art-loving students.
RICE ACAPPELLOOZA
Every year, all 5 Rice a cappella groups come together to sing and raise money for the Houston Music Therapy Center. All of our friends and family filled the grand hall with love and support.
DIVERSITY OPEN MIC
Nocturnal was invited to perform a song by a black artist at the Diversity Council’s Open Mic Event. We loved getting to sing for everyone who came out.
TEXAS A&M ACAPPELLOOZA
The Annual Texas Acappellooza brings together collegiate a cappella groups from all over the state. Nocturnal loved getting to see everyone perform in person for such a vibrant and diverse audience.
PRIDE OPEN MIC
Nocturnal performed a song by a queer artist for Rice PRIDE’s Open Mic. Thank you to all of the students who came out for the event, and thank you to Rice PRIDE for the invitation.
WINTER STUDY BREAK
A fun time to break from studying for finals, Nocturnal performed a mix of holiday and non-holiday songs for the Rice community. Thank you to everyone who purchased an ornament from our fundraiser.
BBNOC FALL BENEFIT
Nocturnal joined up with Basmati Beats in a joint outdoor concert to raise money for the Houston Food Bank. We were able to donate a few hundred dollars to the organization!
PROJECT PUMPKIN
A few performing arts student groups were invited to perform at the Volunteer Program’s children’s festival, Project Pumpkin. Nocturnal loved getting to sing for all of the families who came out.
FAMILIES WEEKEND
Nocturnal performed our first joint concert with Rice’s only improv comedy troupe, Spontaneous Combustion. Thank you to all of the Rice parents and friends who came out to support.
R2 OPEN MIC
Rice Review held an open mic for creative students to perform any work of their choosing for the Rice community. Nocturnal was invited to perform our first set of the semester.Â
